Airfield

Since September 2004, Akaflieg Karlsruhe has been operating the Rheinstetten gliding airfield as a member of the Luftsportgemeinschaft Rheinstetten, together with FSV 1910 Karlsruhe and LSV Albgau.

Our new airfield, the “Segelfluggelände Rheinstetten”, is located just a few hundred meters east of the decommissioned Karlsruhe-Forchheim airfield (EDTK).

The LSG Rheinstetten has external take-off permits for five motorized aircraft. Landings by external powered aircraft, powered gliders or microlight aircraft are only permitted in exceptional cases and with the approval of the LSG board.
