How to Find Us

By Bike: Approach via the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Kronenplatz)

  • At Kronenplatz head north (towards the castle) into Waldhornstraße
  • After approx. 150m turn left onto Zirkel (on the right is the Math Institute and the SCC parking lots)
  • Follow Zirkel until Moltkestraße begins on the left
  • Follow Moltkestraße for a very long time
    • You will pass the College of Education and the municipal hospital
    • For the last 500 m, ride parallel to the tracks of Streetcar 2
  • Turn right at the junction of Moltkestraße and Hertzstraße
  • After approx. 200m, you will see the entrance to Campus West on the right-hand side
  • On the Campus West site, take the first left
  • The workshop is now diagonally in front of you on the right (at the large sand parking lot)

By car: Approach via the A5

  • Exit “Karlsruhe-Mitte” or direction “Rheinhafen/Wörth”
  • After approx. 5 km take the “B36 – Mannheim” exit
  • Follow the signs towards Mannheim
  • Pass a Bauhaus hardware store on the right hand side
  • Turn right at the next major traffic lights into Siemensallee
  • Turn left at the first set of traffic lights into Hertzstraße
  • After approx. 200m turn right: house number 16, KIT Campus West
  • At the West University campus, take the first left
  • The workshop is now diagonally in front of you on the right (at the large sand parking lot)

Streetcar: Line 2

  • Streetcar number 2 goes to KIT Campus West in Karlsruhe (Hertzstraße stop)
  • From this stop, Hertzstraße goes off to the north and south
  • The university is on the right-hand side of Hertzstraße, approx. 200m north of the stop
  • There is a soccer club on the opposite side
  • You can plan your journey by public transport on the KVV website
