AK-5
Single-Seater in the Club Class
On June 1, 1990, Akaflieg Karlsruhe celebrated the maiden flight of the AK-5, its first prototype in fiber composite construction. The AK-5 has proven itself at various competitions and is flown by advanced flight students, among others. The aircraft is a single piece.

AK-5b

The first Single-Seater in Training
The AK-5b is a further development of our proven AK-5. Thanks to its good-natured flight characteristics, the AK-5b is the first single-seater in training. The aircraft is unique worldwide.
AK–8
Standard class Single-Seater
A special feature of the AK-8 is its completely semi-elliptical wing. The aircraft is a one-off and approved as a carrier platform for various measuring equipment.

ASG 29

High-Performance Single-Seater in the 18 Meter Class
Our high-performance single-seater for very experienced pilots at Akaflieg. Extended cross-country flights over several hundred kilometers are possible with this aircraft.
DG-1000
Our Training Two-Seater
The DG-1000 is used as an all-rounder in training and for aerobatics and cross-country flying. Until 2023, the aircraft was equipped with a retractable jet engine as the world’s only “DG-1000 Turbine” test aircraft.

TWIN II

Our restored training two-seater
The aircraft was imported from Denmark as a heavily damaged fuselage after an emergency ditching with three other damaged TWIN II and TWIN II Acro aircraft parts. The NZ is the first aircraft to be fully restored to flying condition and can be used for training purposes.
ASG 32
High-Performance Two-Seater for long Cross-Country Flights for Two
With the ASG 32, we have been flying one of the most modern two-seaters on the market since April 2016. It offers our experienced pilots long cross-country flights of several hundred kilometers.
